Engineering
While the castle nut doesn’t interface with the barrel, maintaining a
rock-solid lock-up at the rear of the rifle reduces unwanted flex in the
receiver extension. A properly secured buffer tube enhances overall system
stability and supports consistent recoil management.
Installation & break-in tips

Ensure both the end plate and receiver extension
are properly aligned before tightening

Apply light thread lubricant to facilitate
smooth threading

Torque the castle nut using a quality armorer’s
wrench

Stake the end plate into the castle nut for
maximum retention (recommended for duty use)
