The KIDD Tactical Chassis is a modular aftermarket stock which accepts AR15 furniture. Milled from 6061 T6 billet aluminum and anodized black. This chassis receives the KIDD Supergrade barreled action, KIDD Classic barreled action along with other 10/22® style actions. It is designed with the Supergrade barrel locking screw access whole, so if you pair it with a KIDD SG receiver barrel connection, the barrel can be changed without removing the barreled action from the chassis. It is prepped to accept an action with or without the KIDD Rear Tang, a tang filler is supplied if you don't have a rear tang along with the supplied stabilizing screw. Our grip attachment provides for a finished look between a pistol grip and trigger guard. We have butt stocks, grips, bipods, picatinny rails along with other accessory options to complete this chassis, if desired.
Installation Note:
You can access the KIDD Chassis Stabilizing screw through the rear of the chassis. This screw is to stabilize actions (without rear tang) that are installed into the chassis using the provided tang filler. Once the tang filler is installed you will drop your action into the chassis and tighten the stabilizing screw hand tight. Do not over torque this screw as this will just force the action forward, 10 inch pounds should be plenty to secure the action. If you are using a KIDD receiver with the attached KIDD rear tang you will not need to use the stabilizing screw.
package includes:
chassis
grip attachment
rear tang filler

CAO
I ordered my Supergrade with the Magpul stock and it was light and comfortable to shoot, but no matter what ammunition I tried I got the strangest groups of twin vertical strings at 100 yards with the best groups a little over 1.5" and 50 yard groups with the best lots coming in a shade over .5". Not bad....but not what I was expecting based on all the reviews. Some guns are tack drivers and some aren't so I figured mine wasn't. Then I saw a review of the KIDD 22" chassis and I thought maybe a more rigid stock would tighten things up and they most certainly did. Best lots of ammunition so far at a 100 yards are printing normal groups just under 1" with several sub .75" and at 50 yards lots of one hole groups hovering in the .375" range with the occasional group knocking at .25". The weird twin vertical stringing is gone completely and the whole feel of the rifle has morphed to a much more similar experience as my Vudoo and my Rim-X which are mounted in MPA chassis. I should note that I installed an MDT SRS Buttstock and an MDT vertical grip to further enhance the PRS "feel" of the gun. I am anxious to keep lot testing it, because it just feels like it will have some super tight groups with the right ammunition. So far I have put mostly Lapua variants and SK Variants through it. It is a pricey upgrade, but in my estimation well worth the investment for the superior performance and the big rifle feel.
