This handle is made to work with our guide rod and spring kit. The bolt handle length is 1 3/4", which is 1/4" longer than the factory bolt handle giving greater clearance for the shooter's knuckles while racking the bolt. Note: if you are thinking about swapping this handle with your current Ruger® bolt assembly, their handle is fixed to their guide rod spring assembly and can not be removed without permanent alterations. We recommend purchasing our guide rod and spring kit with this handle if you don't already have it.

Bolt Charging Handle - Black Ring

All the KIDD Bolt Charging Handles are quality built and work perfectly on KIDD bolts along with the KIDD Springs and Spring Guide - I cannot speak to how they perform on non-KIDD bolts - I will say that I prefer the Ringed version better than the Viton version - Although both are excellent products, the Viton tends to get slippery and possibly a little loose over time causing your finger to slip off when charging the bolt - You won't experience that issue with the Ringed version.

Using this on a receiver purchased from Brownells. The factory bolt handle has a slot cut near the guide rod the Kidd does not. I had to cut the slot in order for it to work properly.

This was a replacement for the charging handle that was too tight in my early version 10/22. It operates perfectly . Thank you KIDD for awesome customer service!
