.22 caliber muzzle brake
1/2" -28 thread
Silver .920" Stainless Steel
Black .920" blued chromoly
2" length
The Kidd .22 muzzle brake can be used on any .22 caliber rifle or pistol with 1/2" -28 threads. The purpose of a muzzle brake is to reduce the felt recoil of the rifle. A .22 caliber shot doesn't generate a great deal of recoil for the shooter but this item will still decrease it slightly. It also adds more weight to the muzzle end and looks great!
Educational note: a flash suppressor is intended to hide the flash from the target and a compensator or muzzle brake is meant to direct the gases to reduce the upward climb of the firearm.

I put this on my Ruger American Rimfire Target (8366) .860 bull barrel and it looks great on it. I purchased the SMB in polished stainless and it looked like it was going to be about .06 too large and i would have a lip but the brake has a nice little chamfer at the beginning of the brake where it meets my barrel and it looks very nice and doesn't have a lip at all or i cant feel .01" of difference. The pictures don't really help on the size and design of everything but if you are matching the brake to a stainless barrel then yes it will match and yes it will look stock/clean. I dont know how the 28 would look on my smaller barrel but the SMB looks amazing. I imagine they want you to match these with the heavy 10/22 barrels they make but hey it looks good on mine.
