Description

This great upgrade kit for your 10-22 will give you a precision bolt handle along with the ultimate 10-22 guide rod and our popular tuning springs.

Our 10-22 accessory cocking handle comes in black or silver in four different styles.

The black with black viton weighs .4oz, length 1 3/4 and is made from 7075 aluminum and anodized. The silver with black viton is made from stainless steel and weighs .6oz, length 1 3/4. They are both 1/4 inch longer than the OEM Ruger and have the signature Viton cushion for comfort.

Our Black and Silver Round, Cut Away and Flat handles are made from 6061 Aluminum anodized the desired color. The handles weight .3 oz handles. This item can be purchase alone or with our guide rod and spring kit.  If purchased alone, there will be quite a bit of work to modify your Ruger cocking handle.

The KIDD Precision Ground Guide Rod is an upgraded part for your 10-22 and is made from hardened tool steel and held to 2/10,000" tolerance throughout its entire length. The rod is nitride treated which gives its surface a 70C rockwell (harder than a file) surface hardness. Guaranteed the smoothest and slickest 10-22 guide rod in the industry.

The three springs come in varying tensions for standard 22LR ammo, subsonic ammo, or high velocity up to 17 Mach 2 ammo.   (Note that increased weight is needed on the bolt to compensate for the 17 Mach 2 ammo).  Our cocking assembly is made to work with Ruger 10-22 or any after market products that are also interchangeable with the OEM Ruger model.

Packaging Includes:
bolt handle
guide rod
3 tuning springs

Installation instructions:
After removing the 10/22 stock from the barreled action, remove the trigger and bolt stop.  This will allow the needed clearance for the 10/22 bolt to be removed along with the cocking assembly.  The video below offers some of the finer installation points.  But essentially after choosing your proper spring tension slip the cocking assembly in from the ejection port, placing the cone end into the containment detent.  Then fully compress the cocking assembly and place the bolt on it.  Let up on the containment allowing the bolt to go forward.  Re-install the Ruger bolt stop or aftermarket KIDD bolt buffer, then the trigger and stock.

Rating Out of the park

As with all of the Kidd products I have, this is another out of the park home run. I absolutely love being able to change the spring to match my loads.

Rating Great find

I happened upon Kidd products by chance while researching an aftermarket stock for my 10/22. The video review I watched included the installation of the Kidd cocking assembly. A few clicks later and I had a cocking assembly purchased and it arrived only a few days after the transaction. The service level was great. Installations was straight forward and I'm glad that I found this site (though I don't think my wife will share in my enthusiasm). I was pleasantly surprised to see that there are several other upgrades available for the 10/22 and I plan to purchase at least a few of them over the next several months. Thanks!

Rating Nice upgrade

Bought this to install on my new 10/22 TD. I wanted something that would stick out a bit farther than the stock cocking handle. I figured while I was doing the work it was worth swapping the entire assembly. Instructional video here made the install simple even for a relative novice like myself. It did take a while to figure out how to get everything set properly, recommend you try it without the spring to get a feel for what you are aiming for. Very pleased with the results and I look forward to trying the gun at the range. Oh, and if you are buying this you might as well pick up the bolt buffer as you will have to remove the existing one to install these parts.

Rating Beautiful

I ordered both the cocking assembly and a single stage trigger. After installing the two I went out for some range time. The cocking assembly with the lighter spring fixed my FTE issues using cheaper ammunition. I now want to buy a complete KIDD rifle i love the new setup on my 10-22
